Community Solar

Solar Panels Picture

Northeastearn REMC has developed a 50.4 kW community solar project on its property in Park 30 Business Center in Columbia City. The project, one of the first in Indiana, consists of 160 (315-watt) solar panels. The project was connected to the grid on April 22 – Earth Day 2015.

Participation in this community solar project may provide an ideal solution for residential and commercial members who support renewable energy but don’t have a suitable site for solar panels or don’t have the money to invest in a system of their own.

For more information on this new project contact Doug Ferrell, at 244-6111/625-3700, ext. 436.
