Vice President, Member Services - Northeastern Rural Electric Membership Corporation (REMC) is seeking a Vice President, Member Services. The vice president is a strategic leader responsible for managing all aspects of member support and service for the cooperative.
The vice president is a strategic leader responsible for managing all aspects of member support and service for the cooperative. The vice president will work with the CEO to develop the organization’s member service strategy and is responsible for inspiring and encouraging direct reports to maximize individual and team performance, ensuring member satisfaction, smooth operations and execution of our strategic plan and budget.
As a senior executive, the vice president liaises with other members of the leadership team to implement the organization’s corporate strategy. The vice president must possess the skills to promote good member service in other departments that do not have direct member service responsibility. The individual must be an outgoing, dynamic, team-oriented leader.
Applicants must have a minimum of five years management experience in a member/customer service environment. A bachelor’s degree is required, a master’s degree in a business-related subject is a plus. Knowledge of/experience working within a cooperative business model is also a plus. Northeastern REMC, headquartered in Columbia City, Indiana, is a member-owned electric cooperative providing service to approximately 30,000 residential, commercial and industrial accounts in portions of Allen, Huntington, Kosciusko, Noble, Wabash and Whitley counties in Northeastern Indiana. The cooperative manages over 2300 miles of line in its 600 square miles service area. Northeastern REMC has 64 full-time employees and is governed by a board of directors made up of members, elected by members. Columbia City is located 15 minutes west of Fort Wayne, two hours north of Indianapolis and three hours east of Chicago.
