REMC offering high school juniors free opportunity to experience Washington
Northeastern REMC will be awarding students the opportunity of a lifetime when they pick two 11th graders to visit the nation’s capital as part of the 2018 Indiana Youth Tour to Washington, D.C. June 7-14
Students selected will join students from 47 states for this all expense paid, week-long experience. Participants will visit the Flight 93 and Pentagon 9/11 Memorials, Gettysburg Battlefield, Arlington National Cemetery, Smithsonian Institution, National Mall memorials, National Museum of the Marine Corps and experience a night cruise on the Potomac River.
The Indiana Youth Tour students will also participate in a youth rally and spend a day on Capitol Hill, where they will meet with Indiana’s congressional delegation and see first-hand how government operates.
