Qualifications outlined to be a NREMC director

The board of directors for Northeastern REMC serves a vital role. The nine member board is the legal policy making body that governs the cooperative, decides on the long range goals, monitors its financial condition and reviews the co-op’s activities. The position of director holds a tremendous amount of responsibility to successfully operate your business.

This community project is for the birds!

Northeastern REMC recently assisted the Crooked Lake (Whitley County) Property Owner’s Association with erecting an Osprey nesting platform on the northern side of the lake. NREMC donated the 70’ long pole and erected it along the shore after volunteers mounted the 2’x2’ wood and stick nesting framework to the top. The pole also has a camera so that nesting and hatching activity can be observed 24/7 on live web cam during the nesting season of March - July.
