Resignation creates fourth spot in upcoming board election

Due to the recent resignation of District 7 director Kevin Jordan, four directors will be elected during this year’s Member Appreciation Night and Annual Meeting.

Parents take note: Fun changes made to children’s program

As Northeastern’s Member Appreciation Night and Annual Meeting approaches, parents need to be aware of changes made to this year’s children’s program.  In place of the children’s program of years past, the children’s program will now become part of our exhibit area in the Coliseum’s Expo Center.  This new family-friendly area will offer face painting, caricatures, Louie the Lightning Bug, safety presentations, and gifts for children four years old or older accompanied by their parents.

Qualifications outlined to be a NREMC director

The board of directors for Northeastern REMC serves a vital role. The nine member board is the legal policy making body that governs the cooperative, decides on the long range goals, monitors its financial condition and reviews the co-op’s activities. The position of director holds a tremendous amount of responsibility to successfully operate your business.

This community project is for the birds!

Northeastern REMC recently assisted the Crooked Lake (Whitley County) Property Owner’s Association with erecting an Osprey nesting platform on the northern side of the lake. NREMC donated the 70’ long pole and erected it along the shore after volunteers mounted the 2’x2’ wood and stick nesting framework to the top. The pole also has a camera so that nesting and hatching activity can be observed 24/7 on live web cam during the nesting season of March - July.
