After nearly 4,000 votes cast, Northeastern REMC members have filled three seats on the board of directors. The NREMC service area is divided into nine districts and every September the co-op comes together to elect representatives who will participate in setting policies and making decisions. Each director serves a three year term.
This year's election results are as follows:

Higgins has also served as the board secretary during his most recent term. His background includes serving in the United States Army and is now the Outside Plant Manger for both the Electric Department and Essential Services for the City of Auburn.
In District 8, Erik Linnemeier will begin his second term on the board of directors. District 8 includes Lake, Washington and Aboite Townships in Allen County. Linnemeier's background includes serving in the Indiana National Guard and is currently the Vice President of Advanced Machine and Tool.
Jeremy McClish is a newcomer to the board this year after a tight race in District 9. He represents members in Perry Township in Northwest Allen County. McClish is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Fort Wayne.
