Side-by-side meter socket- 200 Amp Main Breaker
 
Meter socket/breaker combination cabinets must be in a side-by-side configuration; meter socket/breaker combination cabinets with the meter socket over the main breaker will not be allowed unless the service is fed overhead.

Standard – Milbank -100/200 amp
 
Meter bases must be of the following type:
 
  • Must be UL listed
  • Must be designed for the installation (overhead/underground)
  • 100 amp underground services must use a 200 amp meter base
  • Have a ringless cover
  • Provide some type of bypass (Horns or Lever)
  • Must be rated to carry the full current of the service (exception 320 Amp bases can be used for 400 Amp single phase residential services)
