2025 College Scholarships
Northeastern REMC is proud to offer this scholarship program. There is no better way to support our community than to encourage our local students to pursue higher education.
$2,000 in College Scholarships Available
Calling all high school seniors! Northeastern REMC will be selecting two students from eligible applicants to receive $1000 college scholarships! To apply, the student must meet the requirements listed, complete and return the application and provide the necessary documents. Be sure to read the eligibility information to the right.

Applications are due by March 31, 2025
Eligibility
Student Requirements
- Must be a graduating high school senior in the current academic year (2024-2025)
- Eligible students may attend public, private, or home-school programs
- Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (4.0 scale)
- Official transcript required for verification
- Must be accepted and planning to enroll at an accredited:
- Two-year college/university, OR
- Four-year college/university
Family Requirements
- Parents/guardians must be Northeastern REMC members
- Membership must be:
- Active and in good standing
- Maintained for at least 12 consecutive months prior to application deadline
Important Notes
- This is a one-time scholarship award
- Recipients are not eligible for future NREMC scholarships
- Applications must be received by the stated deadline
- Late submissions will not be considered under any circumstances
- Ineligible Applicants:
- Children/relatives of Northeastern NREMC employees
- Children/relatives of Northeastern NREMC board members
Required documents
Before you get started, please have the following documents available to upload:
an official transcript to verify accuracy of GPA
two letters of recommendation from high school staff, coaches, civic/business leaders, or clergy. (Letters from relatives are not accepted)
a high-resolution headshot/photograph (school pictures are acceptable) must be included for publicity purposes
both the student and the parent will provide signatures at the bottom of the form
