With more than 4,000 votes cast, Northeastern REMC members have selected three candidates to fill three seats on the board of directors. The NREMC service area is divided into nine districts, and every September, the co-op comes together to elect representatives who will participate in setting policies and making decisions. Each director serves a three-year term. This year's election results are as follows:
District 2 - Doug Schrader
This district covers a large section of Whitley County including the rural area outside of Columbia City. This district includes Columbia and Union Townships in Whitley County.
District 3 - Cari Juillerat
This district covers a large area in southwest Whitley County, including the rural area outside of South Whitley. The townships included are Cleveland, Washington, and Jackson Townships in Whitley County, Chester Township in Wabash County, Jackson, Clear Creek and Warren Townships in Huntington County, and Jackson Township in Kosciusko County.
District 4 - Wesley Wolfe
This district includes the rural area outside of Larwill and includes Richland and Etna-Troy townships in Whitley County.
