Community Involvement

Community involvement

We're not just a power company. We’re all neighbors joining with neighbors to power our region together. This includes a strong commitment to the communities we serve.

Cooperation Among Cooperatives means we're working together with local, national, regional, and even international co-ops to broaden our network and learn even more ways to serve you better. Because we are not-for-profit that means that we are not in competition with our neighboring co-op's. This opens up the opportunity for information sharing of best practices that ultimately improve service for all of our members. You'll find information below regarding our Operation Round Up program which helps us come along with local non-profit organizations, information about our annual college scholarship and links to Camp Kilowatt and so much more.

College Scholarships

Northeastern REMC is proud to offer this scholarship program. There is no better way to support our community than to encourage our local students in their pursuit of higher education. Selection criteria will be based on scholastic achievement, school involvement, community involvement and recommendations.

Operation Round Up

Once you opt-in, Northeastern “rounds up” your electric bills to the next highest dollar. For example, a bill for $83.76 would be rounded to $84.00 and 24¢ would be donated to the program from this bill.  Members must opt-in the program by contacting our member services.

Honor Flight

It's our honor to serve our veterans. Honor Flight allows America's Veterans to visit Washington DC to see memorials dedicated to honor the service and sacrifices of themselves and their friends. Top priority is given to the senior veterans - World War II survivors, along with other veterans who may be terminally ill. We're proud to be part of this partnership.
