Approved Meter Boxes
Side by side meter socket- 200 Amp Main Breaker
Meter socket / breaker combination cabinets must be in a side by side configuration, meter socket / breaker combination cabinets with the meter socket over the main breaker will not be allowed unless the service is fed overhead).
Standard - Milbank -100/200 amp
Meter bases must be of the following type
- Must be UL listed
- Must be designed for the installation (overhead/underground)
- 100 amp underground services must use a 200 amp meter base
- Have a ringless cover
- Provide some type of bypass (Horns or Lever)
- Must be rated to carry the full current of the service (exception 320 Amp bases can be used for 400 Amp single phase residential services)
