To celebrate Earth Day this year, NREMC will be handing out FREE trees to members beginning on Monday, April 18, through Friday, April 22. Northeastern is focused on our community, including helping our members take care of our local environment.
Who is eligible:
NREMC members can receive two free trees.
If enrolled in paperless billing, members can receive up to three trees.
When:
Monday - Friday, 4/18 - 4/22*
7:30am - 4:00pm
*promotion will end early if all 500 trees have been distributed.
How to get your tree(s)
Stop by NREMC's headquarters during the dates/times listed above. Enter the lobby and ask the front desk for your Earth Day trees.
Please note that trees measure from 12 inches to 6 feet tall.
Types of trees available:
Trees will be distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- 100 one-year-old bald cypress
- 100 one-year-old black oak trees
- 100 two-year-old pecan trees
- 100 one-year-old river birch
- 100 two-year-old white pine

Trees purchased by NREMC from Indiana Department of Natural Resources Division of Forestry's Nursing Program
Our Mission is to grow and distribute to Indiana landowners high-quality plant materials for conservation plantings. Conservation plantings include plantings for timber, windbreaks, wildlife food and habitat, watershed and soil protection, reclamation, and education.
